Heart & Circulatory System (Cardiology)

The Division of Cardiology is a world-renowned center for every aspect of cardiovascular care and research.  More than 40 full-time faculty focus on standard procedures such as outpatient consultation, echocardiography, angiography, electrophysiology testing, percutaneous coronary revascularization and heart transplantation, as well as advanced clinical care and research into heart failure, cardiac rehabilitation, preventive cardiology, radio-frequency ablation, laser revascularization and cardiac MRI.

Specialized clinics are devoted to preventive cardiology, heart failure and cardiomyopathy, rhythm problems and electrophysiology and adult congenital cardiac disease. The division provides expedited transfer for inpatients referred for cardiac evaluation and treatment. In addition, for patients who are eligible and interested, the division offers clinical research protocols evaluating new technologies and treatments for cardiac disease, including Interventional Radiology.
